Dr. Julio A. Soria-Lara is researcher at Transport Research Centre (TRANSyT) at the Technical University of Madrid (Spain). He is also honorary researcher at Transport Studies Unit at the University of Oxford (UK). He obtained a BSc in Environmental Sciences (2006) with first-class honours (University of Granada, Spain) and a MSc in Urban, Spatial Planning and Environment (2008) with honours. Finally, he holds a Ph.D. in Urban and Spatial Planning (2011, Cum Laude) at the University of Granada. Dr. Soria-Lara was awarded a four-year Ph.D. fellowship in September 2007 (funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science. 2007-2011). During his pre-doctoral period, he was also visiting-researcher at the Amsterdam Institute for Social Science Research (University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands) supervised by Professor Luca Bertolini, as well as visiting-researcher at the Research Centre for Territory, Transport and Environment. CITTA (University of Oporto, Portugal) supervised by Professor Paulo Pinho. Before coming to Madrid, he was an Assistant Professor of Geography and Spatial Planning (2012-20103) at the University of Zaragoza (Spain). Then, he was awarded a Postdoctoral Fellowship from Andalusia Government, and he moved to Amsterdam (Netherlands), where he joined to the Centre for Urban Studies at the University of Amsterdam (2013-2015), supervised by Professor Luca Bertolini. In June 2016, Dr. Soria-Lara was awarded with a Marie Curie Postdoc Fellowship, joining to the Transport Studies Unit (TSU) at the University of Oxford (UK) supervised by Professor David Banister.
