Jimena Sierra-Andrade is a Doctoral Candidate in Transport and Mobility Studies at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and a member of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network TRANSFORM. Her PHD aims to develop an innovative theoretical framework to explore the role of urban space in mobility transitions
She is a sociologist from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, specialized in socio-territorial and urban issues. She holds a Master’s degree in Territoires et développement (Territories and Development) from the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) and a second Master’s degree in Urban Planning and Development from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, both in Paris, France.
Before joining the network, she worked as a research assistant at the LISIS laboratory, Université Gustave Eiffel (France), on a participatory research project aimed at designing tools to facilitate collaboration within transdisciplinary teams. She also participated in mobility-related research projects in France and worked as a teaching assistant for sociology and methodology courses in Peru.
