The Road Technology Platform has recognized José Manuel Vassallo as one of the most reputable Spanish experts in road financing who already began to stand out at the beginning of his career with his Doctoral Thesis, entitled "Criteria for the selection of new management systems and financing of road conservation".
For twenty years, José Manuel Vassallo Magro has been intervening, directly or indirectly, in all the developments of public-private collaboration that have taken place in Spain in the field of roads and, likewise, in many of those that have had Spanish participation in Latin America. His research in this field is an international reference, having even been cited by the Nobel Prize in Economics Paul Krugman. He also collaborates regularly with private entities and with different multilateral organizations: World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank and Development Bank of Latin America. And he is a member of the Advisory Council of the Ministry of Development since its creation in 2015. Needless to say, the career of José Manuel Vassallo has also been characterized by a close relationship with the Spanish Road Association, to which he has contributed his knowledge through participation in conferences and the publication of articles in the Roads Magazine.
An affable person, of good spirit and of exquisite technical and moral rigor, José Manuel Vassallo is that incontestable expert that any self-respecting entity can not fail to incorporate into its credits and references.
