The AutoMOST project, of which Transyt is part and led by the mobility company Avanza has obtained the Industrial Development Award in ITS granted by the Society of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITTS) in its Spanish chapter.
This award recognizes AutoMOST as the most important project in the field of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS). Within the criteria to choose the winner, the impact caused, its scope and its innovation within the field have been assessed.
AutoMost addresses, for the first time in this field, the great challenge of positioning and sensorization of a large urban passenger transport vehicle, which will circulate in the city autonomously, providing as unique characteristics its capacity and real interaction with the city.
Apart from Transyt, Tecnalia (technical manager), Irizar (vehicle), Datik (intelligent information technologies for mobility management), Etralux (infrastructure and mobility management software in the context of smart city), Masermic (electronic positioning and sensorization technologies), Insitu (laser scanning technology, georadar, GIS, etc.) and Novadays (public sector consultancy specialized in infrastructures and mobility) have participated in the project. in addition to the EMT and the Port of Malaga.
