Alphabet, a renting, fleet management and corporate mobility company, has signed a collaboration agreement with the Polytechnic University of Madrid to conduct research on the acceptance of electric vehicles in the university community.
The Transport Research Center (TRANSyT) of the School of Civil Engineers will be in charge of leading this study, which will allow to know relevant data on the way of moving of the university students.

I am sure that this research will provide us with information of interest on the acceptance of electric mobility among university students and will help us to better understand the mobility needs of the new generations."
For the development of the study, Alphabet will give an electric vehicle (BMW i3) with which UPM students can test electric mobility for various uses. After collecting and analyzing the data, the Polytechnic University of Madrid will organize a discussion forum with students and specialists, in which the conclusions of the analysis will be analyzed.
The agreement reached is part of the Mobility Forum promoted by Alphabet, a project that investigates, analyzes and disseminates the habits, concerns and travel needs of Spanish citizens. Through this forum, an exchange of information is generated between the different market players with the aim of achieving together the design of new mobility products and services.
