TRANSyT participates in a new project of the European Commission: NOESIS, NOvel Decision Support tool for Evaluating Strategic Big Data investments in Transport and Intelligent Mobility Services
Project Objective
The NOESIS project will identify the critical factors/characteristics that lead to the successful implementation of Big Data technologies and services in the field of transport and logistics with significant value generation from the socioeconomic point of view. This will be achieved by examining the areas and contexts across Europe, where ICT investments and data exploitation should be applied. The impact of Big Data will be assessed in a series of transport use cases (Big Data in the Transport Library) by developing and applying a "learning framework" and value capture mechanism that will estimate the expected benefits and costs.
