The IX Forum CiViNET Spain and Portugal will deal with sustainable transport as a revitalizer of cities. Topics such as equitable public transport, urban regeneration plans through accessibility and mobility plans, cities for citizens, etc. will be discussed. Representatives of Pontevedra, Irún, Alcobendas or Vitoria-Gasteiz on the Spanish side will participate in the event, and Cascais, Braga, Viseu or Guimaraes on the Portuguese side.
The Network already organizes the IX meeting, which has been organized since 2011 in Burgos, Murcia, Santander, Malaga, Torres Vedras, Alcobendas, Valencia or Coimbra, and various topics have been discussed, from Smart Cities and mobility, ITS at the service of cities, accessibility, friendlier cities, cycling in cities, urban sustainable mobility plans and work or studies or new technologies to promote sustainable mobility.
