Postdoctoral researcher

José Cano-Leiva is a postdoctoral researcher at the Transport Research Center (TRANSyT) of the Polytechnic University of Madrid. He obtained his PhD in Industrial Economics from the University of Valencia in November 2021. His main research areas include transport economics, industrial economics and health economics.

Between 2018 and 2021, he was a predoctoral research staff trainee at the Department of Economic Analysis at the University of Valencia, with a predoctoral stay at the Department of Economics at Copenhagen Business School between January and April 2021. From November 2021 to November 2022, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the same department. Since January 2023, he is part of the research team at the Transport Research Center (TRANSyT) at the Polytechnic University of Madrid.

José has three publications in JCR indexed journals, covering the categories of economics, transport and management. He has also contributed to the dissemination and transfer of knowledge with working papers for the Fundación de Estudios de Economía Aplicada (FEDEA) and the BBVA Research Bank, as well as six contributions to the blog “Nada es Gratis”.
