Cristina López García de Leániz holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
She is a professor at the E.T.S.I. Caminos, in the Department of Land Management, Urban Planning and Environment in the subjects of Urban Planning, Urban Planning and Urban Project. She is Professor of the Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering Systems in the subject Urban Planning and Management. Professor in the subject of Territorial Planning in the E.T.S.I. Topography, Geodesy and Cartography. Her lines of research are urban planning and mobility.
He has participated in research projects related to the territorial model and metropolitan mobility:
“Methodology for the multi-objective evaluation of urban and regional mobility strategies” (2006-2009);
“Methodology for the Evaluation of Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans. Optimal Design of Integral Strategies” (2007-2009);
“Relations between the territorial model and metropolitan mobility: analysis and modeling” (2009-2011).
She also researches on major mobility attractors: shopping centers, hospitals, etc. She is currently Technical Director of the Metropolitan Mobility Observatory.
