Professor of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) at the School of Forest Engineering and Natural Environment of the Technical University of Madrid (UPM), teaching both introductory and applied courses. My research area is within Landscape Ecology, conducting spatial and temporal analyses of landscape structure, as well as habitat connectivity for different species or groups of species. One of my main interests is applying my research to spatial planning. With this focus, I have recently participated as an advisor and technical expert in the methodological developments of the National Strategy for Green Infrastructure and for Ecological Connectivity and Restoration of MITERD.
